Synopsis

The Hole In My Heart Is Filled With Ice Cream, is an all-original theatrical jazz concert that elegantly blends jazz, blues and broadway with outstanding theatre to share one woman’s dramatic struggle with ego, materialism, addiction, suicide and God and her painful yet humorous dance with life and death.

The Character

"She spent her life trying to fill the emptiness in her heart with sex, drugs, alcohol, a new pair of shoes, Ben & Jerry, anything to fill the void, to escape the pain. She thought if she could just be pretty enough, skinny enough and rich enough, then she would be happy, then she would be worthy. She chased the egocentric delusion, the false identity, the insatiable madness until.....that dark, desperate, suicidal moment...she had to choose....."

QUOTES FROM THE SHOW

"If I can just be pretty enough, skinny enough and rich enough, then I'll be happy, then I'll be worthy."

"As a species, we struggle with thinking that we are not enough. We are conditioned to think that we can only be worthy if we can afford to by "it" and conform to some competitive, materialistic truth. If we can get this or that, then we'll be happy, then we'll be worthy. Yet, we are pulled toward our spirit, our light of consciousness each and every moment; thus the conflict of Ego versus Spirit."

"Women who DO NOT BEHAVE absolutely make her-story; let's change the world one mis-behavior at a time."

"We daren't speak of it, we must whisper softly our perspective, opinions and realities and they should stay hidden and our lies should fly brightly like banners above, beneath, around and within our truth, then he will love me."
